Fete des Fleurs

I'm not just speaking in fancy french here. The name of the floral design company I'm using is Fete des Fleurs, which from what I understand means "celebration of flowers" or something along those lines. You French speakers can help me out with that one. Anyway, my designer there, Darren, is absolutely the most fabulous florist I could have ever asked for and more! I can't believe all the great ideas he has! I told him I want to incorporate ostrich feathers, lace, pearls, crystals and anything else vintage into the design of my ceremony and reception.  He was spitting out ideas left and right as soon as I gave him a hint of what I wanted! I couldn't ask for more! Here are some inspirational pictures from the knot of what we are kind of going off of.

This picture is a little crazy because of the colors, but I love the idea of the feathers in the vase with the small flower details. So cool!

Here is my ideal invitation! The colors are perfect, the details are perfect! I feel like this invitation was designed for my wedding! My sister and I are going to try to make it and see how it turns out! She is pretty talented, but I'm not so sure about myself!

I love these place cards! The vintage fan with the lace trim is so cute! I think we might have to try and make these too!

So anyway, there are many more details I love that I want to try and incorporate into our decor and I know Fete des Fleur will be there to help me out!

Merry maids

The bridesmaid dresses have been chosen! I couldn't be happier that the task is over! Finding the perfect bridesmaid dress has been really hard for me! You may have read my previous post about the Love by Enzoani line I found and really liked. Well my mom, sister, and I went to look at them and try them on this weekend. And...we found the one! This is it!

The only difference is that my bridesmaids will all be in Blush pink. So exciting! You can get a better idea of the detail around the center if you zoom in on the website. I hope all my bridesmaids love it as much as I do!

A picture's worth a thousand words...

Well I found my wedding photographer and I could not be more excited! His name is Sil Azevedo and he is absolutely the most fabulous photographer I could have ever asked for! From the moment I laid eyes on his website, I knew he was the one by the tears streaming down my face because of the great love stories he tells through his photos. However, I'm not so good at trusting my instincts so I kept on looking and found a couple of other ones I liked. My mom and I went to meet with him this past weekend and we were both awed by his work and his great love for it. His wife and son also work with him and though we didn't get to meet his son, his wife seemed really fabulous as well. They try very hard to create personal relationships with their clients and I think they do a great job. Many of their clients come back years later for pregnancy photos, baby photos, and family photos. I can't wait to see what he has in store for Justin and me!

Check him out! www.silazevedo.com

Hydrangeas and Peonies and Roses, oh my!

I think I have seriously looked at every single picture on the knot of bouquets, centerpieces, reception and ceremony decor, and escort card displays. I saved every single picture that I found inspirational into iPhoto and printed every single one out! I am getting ready for my mom to come in a couple of weeks to help me with some wedding planning and we are meeting with 4 florists so I want to be prepared with exactly what I want! I don't know if they are going to be prepared for me! Does this make me a bridezilla??? I'm not sure exactly, but that's probably debatable. I know for sure I love hydrangeas and peonies more than anything, but I'm down for whatever the florist thinks will look best with my overall theme. Here are some bouquet pics that have inspired me!

I love this one because it is simple, yet exquisite. It has that Romantic feeling I am going for and I really love it. If I chose to do my bouquet like this one, I think I would have the bridesmaid bouquets be similar, but with more color.

This one I love because of the pink feathers around the bottom. I'm not big on roses, but I love the idea of incorporating those kind of feathers into my bouquet. I think it would be beautiful!

I love this one because it is so clean and pretty. Its simple, yet not too simple and it still allows enough color to be interesting.

And last, but definitely not least, another one of my faves. I love all the different pinks incorporated into the bouquet and I love the different flowers. I think its really beautiful.
