Future Mrs. Roberts!

I got my super cool "Future Mrs. Roberts" hoodie in the mail this week! I feel so cool! haha! I highly recommend the place where I ordered this. I looked at a million different websites trying to find one of these for a good price that was exactly what I wanted and I finally found it at www.divabridal.com! Of course now its hot outside so I probably won't need to wear it for a while, but at least I have some time!
Don't worry bridesmaids, I won't make you wear personalized bridesmaid hoodies to coordinate with me! haha! I know you probably expect something like that for me, but I will try to contain myself! I'm all about personalization though! I feel sorry for my future children...

I'm changing my colors!

Well, I have decided that my original thoughts on wedding colors are just not going to work.
1. I can't find a single dress that I love that is in the exact turq color I want.
2. I was having a really hard time tying together the vintage theme of my wedding with colors that are so bright. As much as I love those colors, they just weren't giving me the feel I was going for.
So, I have now decided that I am going to do a dusty rose color with champagne accents. Its much more subtle than the ones I had chosen before, but I think its going to tie in very well with the whole ambiance I want at my wedding. My bridesmaids may not be too excited about it (sorry girls!), but I think its the right thing for me!

My wedding shoes!

Yay, they arrived yesterday! My beautiful Christian Louboutin wedding shoes! I will probably never have another pair of Loubi's so I have to enjoy them! So I was very excited when they came in, but they are actually too small! Damn European sizing! So I had to send them back today and order the next size up. But still, I'm so excited I found some that I love. I had to cram one of my feet into the shoes so I could see what they look like and they are amazing! I'm going to have to display them in a shadow box when I'm done with them. ha! I know that sounds crazy, but how often am I really going to be able to wear ivory satin shoes? Anyway, I think they will be the perfect height for my dress and it shouldn't have to be hemmed. I can't wait until I get my dress so I can see the two together! Wedding planning is so much fun!

I bought my wedding dress!

So its actually been a few weeks since I bought my wedding dress, but I have been MIA lately so I have to talk about it now. Its such an important part of this process!!
Well, after going dress shopping with a few of my bridesmaids, I was talking to my mom about the dress I really liked and she was like "if you really like it just go ahead and buy it!" But, I wasn't ready yet! I had only been to 2 places and as much as I liked the dress I found at one salon, I still wanted to try on others to be sure. The only catch was that this particular gown was a trunk show gown that was only going to be there for the weekend, plus if you bought it during the trunk show you got 10% off! That's a lot when it comes to wedding gowns! So, I went to one other bridal salon the next day, hated everything in the store, and decided to go back and try the gown on one more time to see what I thought before it got shipped out. As soon as the sales woman brought it out for me to try on and I saw it, I knew it was "the one!" I know that sounds cheesy, but its totally true. I put it on and didn't want to take it off. So, that's it! Take a look at my wedding dress. The only difference with this picture is that the girl has on a shrug and my dress will actually be strapless. I love it!

Dress shopping!

Today I went dress shopping with 3 of my bridesmaids! It was so much fun! Of course I fell in love with the first dress I tried on, just like the first venue I went to. I'm starting to see a trend. Anyway, I found out that I am a huge Lazaro fan and I was really drawn to his whole line. I would be happy in any of those dresses! Here are some pics of our super fun day!

The dress I love is not in any of these pics because I can't show it to any of you in case its "the one." All other dresses I'm looking at right now all look the same so I just need to pick it and move on!

I'm not a'veil'able

So when it comes to veils, I'm not a big fan. However, the only option I will consider is the bird cage veil. I think they are so cute and they bring some vintage flair to anyone's look. Like I've said before, I love to stand out when it comes to fashion and wear things that are a little daring and I think wearing a bird cage veil is definitely my style! Here are some pictures of a couple that I like.

These are both pictures off www.birdcageveils.com, but I have seen several other pics in magazines and online, but it seems hard to find retailers that carry them. I am going wedding dress shopping tomorrow for the first time so maybe I can get some tips on where to find them!

Potential colors...

This is one detail that I have been thinking about long before I ever got engaged. I think colors are important because they are a reflection of your personality and style and I've always been big on STANDING OUT! So, since my wedding is in June I want my colors to be bright and representative of the season. I am thinking I am going to go with either a Robin's egg blue or a turquoise blue (undecided on the shade) as my main color and then I want pops of fuchsia throughout to make things stand out! Here are some pictures of color inspiration for me.

This one is from the knot. I've been admiring it for months. I just love the color combo.

Honestly, I don't have any other color ideas lined up right now! I know I said this was a "potential" color combo, but I'm thinking I just need to decide on it already! I keep getting drawn to the same colors so that should be a clue!
