Hydrangeas and Peonies and Roses, oh my!

I think I have seriously looked at every single picture on the knot of bouquets, centerpieces, reception and ceremony decor, and escort card displays. I saved every single picture that I found inspirational into iPhoto and printed every single one out! I am getting ready for my mom to come in a couple of weeks to help me with some wedding planning and we are meeting with 4 florists so I want to be prepared with exactly what I want! I don't know if they are going to be prepared for me! Does this make me a bridezilla??? I'm not sure exactly, but that's probably debatable. I know for sure I love hydrangeas and peonies more than anything, but I'm down for whatever the florist thinks will look best with my overall theme. Here are some bouquet pics that have inspired me!

I love this one because it is simple, yet exquisite. It has that Romantic feeling I am going for and I really love it. If I chose to do my bouquet like this one, I think I would have the bridesmaid bouquets be similar, but with more color.

This one I love because of the pink feathers around the bottom. I'm not big on roses, but I love the idea of incorporating those kind of feathers into my bouquet. I think it would be beautiful!

I love this one because it is so clean and pretty. Its simple, yet not too simple and it still allows enough color to be interesting.

And last, but definitely not least, another one of my faves. I love all the different pinks incorporated into the bouquet and I love the different flowers. I think its really beautiful.

Bridesmaid Dresses!

I think I found the one! Well actually, I found a line I really love and I know "the one" is among us somewhere in this line! I have been looking for something vintage-esque to compliment my dress, location, and all other things vintage about my wedding! I found a few Lazaro dresses that were great, but they didn't come in the blush pink color I was looking for. So finally I ran across Love by Enzoani. The 2009 collection is amazing and is exactly what I'm looking for! There are only 2 boutiques near me that carry the collection and the first one I went to only had 4 styles so I was a little disappointed, but I'm going to hit up the other one soon! Here are some pics of the styles I love!

I love all the fancy brooches and different pieces they have on the dresses!
What do you think?

My dress is super fly

First of all I saw my dress on "Say Yes to the Dress" and the girl on the show picked it! That gave me reassurance that I did in fact pick the right one and I need to stop stressing that there is something out there that I will like better. I'm in love with my dress and I know there is nothing out there that I could possibly love as much as my dress! Whoo hoo! So after seeing it on the show, I saw it in "Modern Bride!" I scanned in the picture so everyone can see how beautiful it is! Of course I'm not going to have a giant veil like the one in the picture, but the dress is beautiful! You would think I would be upset because I have been seeing my dress pop up everywhere lately, but I'm really not because I still think its unique and will look like one of a kind!

Perfect Party!

Like I said there was no need for stress, the engagement party went great! All the parents got along just fine, there were no wardrobe malfunctions, and no one was out of control drunk! What more could I ask for in a successful party!?! Here are some pics of the event.

This is the outside of the restaurant at night. So cute!

Here is the inside of the room we had the party in with the beautiful pink peonies that Meagan and Lisa picked out for me. We had cute little place cards and matching menus.

Here is a picture of the menu we had at the restaurant. I made these using a vintage-looking stamp I found with a dusty rose colored ink to match my wedding colors.

This is a picture of our table. We had both sets of our parents on each side of us, which worked out great!
Here is me and my beautiful mother at the party!

Me and the fam!

Me and my dad and step mom

Me and a couple of my beautiful bridesmaids!

Justin and I opening a few presents.

So overall it was very successful! Now we have a whole year until the wedding when we get to do it all over again with the fam!

Engagement Party Stress!

My engagement party is this weekend and I'm getting a little stressed! Of course there is probably nothing to stress about, but it runs in the family! The party is just for our parents and our bridal party because our parents have never met and most of our friends don't know each other, so we thought it would be a good idea to get everyone together! I just hope our parents all get along (we both have 2 sets of parents so it could be tricky!) and I hope everyone has a good time. Several people are coming from out of town so I want everyone to have fun so they don't feel that it was a wasted trip! I know, I need to chill out. I will let you know how it goes...

Engagement Party Get Up

I finally found my engagement party outfit! I have been shopping for 2 months for a simple dress that would be casual and cool and I have had no luck. That usually is not the case for me, but this time it was hard! My favorite store, Anthropologie, was actually a little disappointing in my quest for a cute dress. The dress I ended up getting is from there, but I think I tried on 30 before finding this one!

This picture actually doesn't do it much justice as it is way cuter on!
Here are the cute shoes I found at Nordstrom to go with my dress!

And my favorite part! The necklace! Again, from Anthropologie of course. I would have so much more money if that store did not exist!

2 weeks left until my engagement party and I don't have to stress anymore about finding the perfect outfit! Now I just have to make sure Justin looks cute too! haha.

I want my ring back!

So one of the little diamonds fell out of my ring on Tuesday! It was awful! You may think I'm being slightly dramatic, but I have felt so naked without it! And people keep asking me where my ring is. That could be a touchy subject! What if I said "Oh, I'm not engaged anymore" and burst into tears?? That's like asking someone how far along they are and they look at you with that shocked look on their face and say "I'm not pregnant." Uh oh... Haha, ok its not that bad.

Anyway, back to the point. I took my ring to the jeweler on Tuesday night to get it repaired and I finally get it back today after work. Thank goodness! I'm having a terrible time living without it!
